This is a natural warming, comforting dessert that will really satisfy your sweet tooth without the guilt
To prepare the filling
Chop the fruit small & add it along with the sugar & cinnamon to a non stick pan with lemon juice & a little water to cover. Simmer gently until softened, thickened & sweet
For the topping
Add flour, sugar cinnamon to a bowl & chop the chilled butter into small chunks, either add this mix to a food processor or crumble together in your hands until the mix resembles a sand like texture, then add the oats & seeds (if using)
Once filling is cooked place it into an oven dish & add the crumble topping. Sprinkle an extra light layer of sugar over the top to make it crisp up nicely & bake in a hot oven for 25 minutes, or until topping is golden brown & filling is bubbling.
Depending on the fruit you're using, you will need to adjust the amount of sugar to your own liking, some fruits are more sweeter than others.
