Hidden Pearls UK Modest Fashion Hijab Fashionista

Calling the Hijabi Barbies!! Who doesn’t love a decent Hijab? Well, I was asked to try out some gorgeous scarves & I’m sooooo in love with them!

This has been long overdue, Hidden Pearls UK  asked me to review some of their hijabs a while ago, but being ill, it’s been on the back burner a little, once I knew I was returning to London recently, I quickly jumped at the chance to have them delivered to me there & try them out…. Better late than never I say!

I’ve been wearing hijab for around 11 years now Alhamdulilah, so I’ve kinda had my fair share of “Bad Hijab Days” 😛 I find hijab an important part of my faith, I feel it brings me closer to God & I feel somewhat protected. So it’s something that has to integrate with my daily life, since I am a mum, the hijab i wear needs to be 100% practical, comfortable & of course, look good!

My Basis For Hijab Shopping –

  • Non slip – my pet peeve is my hijab slowly slipping back!
  • Non see through – what’s the point otherwise?
  • Wide enough for full coverage
  • No snagging on hijab pins
  • Child resistant – No pulling off by little hands!
  • Breathable
  • Comfortable
  • Something that sits still…. (ain’t nobody got time for a million pins!!)

I’m not the best at wrapping hijabs (you’d think I’d get the hang of it after 11 years! :P)
But I do love a good hijab haul nevertheless!
I was gifted with 3 gorgeous hijabs from Hidden Pearls UK. –

One was a beautiful Plain Jersey material in red.

I asked for jersey because I know its a no fuss hijab material & this did not disappoint!
This hijab was very comfortable, breathable & most of all…. stays in place!!
No need for too many pins, which I love & it has a classic look about it, can be paired with any outfit, smart, casual or full Abaya.

The second was the Glitter Crinkle hijab in Spanish Pink.

This one’s for the iron haters!! 😛 I absolutely love the way this drapes, it’s a no fuss, just wrap & go style! The hint of sparkle makes this an ideal hijab to wear on occasions, or just to spruce up your daytime look.

The last (& my favorite) was Glitter Crinkle in Wine colour.

This was a really pretty one, the deep purple/wine set against the glitter really makes this one POP! Again it’s comfortable, lightweight & don’t move about when your rushing around all day which can be so annoying! I especially love that it matches perfectly with my
VersaStyle-SilkRoute London dress!!

Oh I love a non slip jersey! I’m not sure my style can pull off a glitter hijab but love how you’ve teamed it with the outfit xo

The crinkle material looks pretty and easy to wear. Id be a bit scared of the baby pink but it looks like you’ve pulled it off Mashallah.
