Welcome to me waffling on!
I’m Aisha/Dee a Muslimah revert, Londoner born & bred & a mum of two formally an expat in Dubai UAE.
I’ve created this blog to help give an insight to the daily grind in Dubai
(No I’m not talking about that mundane office job)
I’m talking about the struggle all us mums face on a daily basis….
Dealing with everything life throws at you, on top of keeping your cool with a moody teen or defiant little minx can be hard work!
I’m trying to live the Thrifty life in Dubai and to be honest…. It’s not so easy when you live in one of the most lavish places on earth!
You are lured into this amazing culture of malls and restaurants, and being a HUGE food fan (aren’t we all?)
I’ve gotten addicted to trying everything I can! I have a MAJOR sweet tooth and am always craving some treat so – Curbing my cravings one dessert at a time.
My motto is – Life is uncertain. So eat your dessert first! 😉
I will be sharing my own recipes, seeking out the best offers & deals around town, reviewing eateries for their accessibility, friendliness and of course thriftiness!
Sharing tried and tested parenting hacks, Getting crafty and also sharing some home learning techniques for the little ones!
As mums, we are often unappreciated …. let me remind you of what amazing women we are by giving you a run down of what others may call “Just a Stay-At-Home Mum”
We are CEO’s
Facilities Managers
Computer Operators
Psychologists
Teachers
Chauffeurs
Maids
Referees
To name but a few! So let us embrace our mum status and ride that Lambo all the way to bedtime! 🙂
Now I’ve waffled on too much….. time for FOOD!! ……………
Hey, lovely piece of article. I have heard lovely things about Dubai I am looking forward to you writing about your experiences! (Rashdah, Muslim bloggers)
