Every now & then we make a purchase that makes us a little happy!…. Actually, I’m pretty sure every purchase does that! 😛 But this particular booty has got me reeling!
When you’ve had your eye on something for a while, it makes it even more satisfying the moment you get your hands on it!
So today I’m showcasing my gorgeous find that I just HAD to share with my lovely readers because this is a one of a kind item, totally unique & I feel the creator deserves much needed props for her beautiful handy work!

I’ve been following (& drooling over) Kirsty’s work for a while now, she started out by doing it as a hobby, with beautifully hand sewn cushion sets and Lavender filled hearts, she worked hard to help the crisis in Syria by donating to Caring Cushions, her own Charity via her Facebook Page & she continues to attend charity fundraisers where her items are sold and all profits are given to a good cause. She has since ventured out doing her own stuff on Etsy.
Each item can be custom made to your requirements, the colours & sizes are completely up to you.
There is also a stock of items,on her Etsy Store but be warned, usually only ONE of each is available, so if you like the look of something, you’ve gotta get in there before it’s snapped up!
Recently she began to decoupage wooden items & they are so damn cute!!
Découpage is the art of decorating an object by gluing colored paper cutouts onto it in combination with special paint effects.
If you like shabby chic, vintage & classic styles for your Home Decor, you’ll love these!

My Set Contents –
The sets vary depending on the amount you want, I went for one hand sewn cushion & Lavender filled hearts set in pretty pastels, blue & pink (my Daughters choice)
They came well wrapped with pink tissue paper, the cushion is wrapped with a satin ribbon & the hearts are individually packed in little organza bags, lovely attention to detail! They would make a perfect present for someone as they are already wrapped beautifully…. this wasn’t a gift to anyone (just to myself) 😛
The Hand sewn Patchwork Cushion measures 45cm x 40 cm approximately.
The lavender hearts are all made with aromatic dried lavender. Great if you want to scent your wardrobe/closet or any other area, they are subtle scents, not at all overpowering which makes these safe to use in babies & kids closets too!
How cute are these? My daughter immediately fell in love with the cushion, she says its her “Cath Kidston” cushion (yes the girl knows a thing or two) & it now has perminant place on her bed with her teddies.
I totally recommend these as a one of a kind personal gift for a loved one, it’s something that will be remembered & treasured for years to come! The prices are good, delivery is speedy & you get a FREE Lavender filled heart on all purchases over £10 on the Facebook Page
You can also see the full range of items
At the Etsy Store – HandyCrafts Creations Even more reason to shop I’d say!!
What do you think of my purchase? Which colours/patterns would you go for?
Are you more inclined to go for a Cath Kidston shabby chic style, or will you deck out your pad with some classic decoupage decor? Have you ever tried handy work yourself?
Let me know your thoughts in the comments below & don’t forget to share!
Those pin cushions are SO pretty! I love the quilted look. And decoupage is so much fun!!
Yes, I would love to give it a try myself one day!
I made little pin cushions once for my hijab pins and I love them! That hashtag is just so adorable!
I absolutely love the cushion! And those decoupage @ and # would look so good on as bookshelf decor!
These are cute, you can’t beat handmade one of a kind items. I like decoupaging and plan to do some Christmas decorations to add into gift hampers. x
That sounds awesome! Thanks for visiting!
Love your blog! 😊
Oh my god, I love all those things…. I’m in love with that cushion.
oh my word these are so cute!! Love the floral pattern 🙂
I think your purchase was well worth it! These floral patterns work for me, I LOVE THEM 😍
I’d rather deck with some classy decoupage decor. I do some beadworks but I doubt I’d be able to sit still to finish a time-consuming work.
So cute!!! I wish I was more crafty! Love these!
ooo i have a hashtag with me as well and i got it white and then painted it gold lol. this one looks trendyyyyy! <3
The cushions look so adorable, especially the little hearts which grabbed my attention. I also loved, absolutely loved the @ symbol! How cool is that? I definitely know how much hard work goes into stuff like this. I tried once but unwittingly failed because I didn’t have the patience. I have to say I am not a big floral person but I do like these, they give an edge to Cath Kidston!
